Our Irish roots are part of everything we do here at Kirwan’s, from serving you great food and drinks to providing you the perfect atmosphere to unwind and enjoy yourself.
We opened in October 2017 in an area historically populated by Irish immigrants; people from humble backgrounds who embraced their new neighbors and worked hard to pull themselves up in their adopted home. Well, the Irish have invaded again! And we’re thrilled to invite you in for a drink or a meal that lets us show off the best of our culture’s hospitality and conviviality.

LOCATION
Come join us on the corner of Wharf and Pearl Streets in District Wharf, DC’s brand new waterfront development. With Anthem music venue as our neighbor, we’re just steps away from the country’s best concerts. Have we mentioned the view? Our riverside view of the Washington Channel is, we have to say, not too shabby.

Drinks
Whether it’s premium whiskey or cocktails, high-end beers or exceptional wines, we have just the drink to quench your thirst. Each of our three bars is comfortable and inviting while being distinctly different in atmosphere, so you can tailor the environment to the mood of your outing.

Food
Our menus feature the traditional mainstays of Irish cuisine, but with our unique, modern touch and inspiration from our surroundings. We work with local producers and suppliers to source the freshest and tastiest ingredients. From meeting a friend for fish and chips, to date night over a ribeye steak to a Sunday afternoon waffle with the family, we have the exact meal to satisfy your cravings.

Events
Come for the food and drink, stay for the live music. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening our stage is home to fantastic local bands and musicians. And on a Sunday afternoon you’re in for a real treat: A “Trad” session of Irish Traditional Music that will have you stomping and clapping along, no matter which side of the Atlantic you were raised.
